Cancellations and/or amendments can only be made through us before the pick up date on the voucher. We don’t accept cancellations or amendments made with the local supplier. Amendments are possible once the booking has been confirmed. However, there will be a fee associated with these amendments. The fee is dependent on when the amendment is made. You will only be charged a $8.00 amendment fee, unless you are making the amendment within 48 hours of your pick up date. At that time, an $10.00 fee will be charged.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
After confirmation of the reservation - $40.00 or 5% of the prepaid amount(whichever amount is greater). Within 2 days of the pickup date - $55.00 or 5% of the prepaid amount(whichever amount is greater). No show at the location - 100% of the rental costs. Cancelled bookings not reaching the above amounts if cancelled within the above specified times, will not be eligible for any type of refund.
No refunds will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made on or after the rental start date. There will be no reimbursements in the event that you are not in possession of a valid drivers license that is accepted by the supplier. There will also be no reimbursement on your rental if you are unable to present a major credit card at the time of pick up for your security deposit.
All rentals are charged on a 24 hour basis. A full day is charged for any portion of a 24 hour period used. The rental agreement that you are required to sign at the time of pick up, is an agreement between you and the rental car supplier. If you sign the rental agreement, you are accepting the charges, vehicle category and terms and conditions. Car Rental 8 is an intermediary and is not responsible for any agreements made between the customer and the local supplier. Car Rental 8 will not be held responsible for cars not provided or available due to late arrivals of flights if notification has not been provided to Car Rental 8. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with any aspects of your rental, you must report your concerns locally to the supplier. If you are still not happy and you wish to make a formal complaint, all complaints, (and customer queries after the rental has completed), must be put in writing to our customer services team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then make inquiries on your behalf only if your voucher was not accepted at pick up or if there was a dispute with your booking with Car Rental 8. To help us process your query quicker please include your reservation number on all correspondence and in addition to all documents from the supplier relating to your rental. Any optional items purchased at pick up will not be investigated, as these items are an agreement between the customer and supplier. In this instance, please contact the supplier directly.
**One-way rentals are available with most of our suppliers. However, these one-way fees are dynamic and can sometimes change based on availability and without our knowledge. The amount quoted at the time of booking is an estimate only. If you have booked a one-way rental and would like to confirm the estimated fee, please contact us directly.
